Man on man, like this week wasn't already bad enough. Some stupid truck driver jack knifes a methane carrier which closes down the Mass Pike. Of course they close it after I pass the cut off point so I literally sit in the same spot for close to an hour. We finally get moving only to be U turned to the other side of the highway. At this point I'm like "fuck it" and just go home. I'm doing some work from home today instead. I'm not sure how my boss feels about this b/c she hasn't called me back. She's probably not thrilled (esp since I'm already taking monday off) but if she wants me to live in the city so badly, she should have given me the new job with the 10% pay bump.

And then on the news they said there is a rumor going around that Barfleck will be in the next Star Trek movie. EWWW that better be wrong!!!

OK so I know a few of you have the IPOD minis.

I have come across several people with this problem. For no reason we can figure, suddenly songs that used to play, now skip and won't play at all.

Of course apple is phasing out the mini so they aren't any help at all. jen called the other day and said the dude was completely unhelpful and said if she sent the ipod in and it was something she could have fixed, they charge 100$.

Suddenly the sketchy underside of the great IPOD is revealed.

If I decide to upgrade to a video pod (like apple obvs wants) will that start crapping out in a year too?

Thoughts?

So none of you will be surprised to hear that I heart Angelina Jolie.

People heart Angelina for many different reasons. She's hot, she's a good actress, she's compassionate and works hard for the United Nations.

I heart Angelina because she lives life in the fast lane, takes no prisoners and apologizes for nothing.

She's on Nightline right now talking about her life and her work to help people/raise awareness for global issues. She really is inspiring. She makes me want to do more, be more.

Angelina you kick ass.

Lane Bryant is a store that caters specifically to fat women. So I ask, why would they make all their dresses with silkly CLINGY material? Does this make sense? Do I need a dress to cling to my middle? NO. But that is ALL they have.

There's a reason Days didn't want her back and it's not becuase the new Belle is a better actress. And I'm also not buying the it wouldn't be nice to boot the new girl line. (Robert Kelker-Kelly vs Peter Reckell anyone?)

If I wanted to watch the crap actresses from OLTL (nuCarly) and Days (NuMaxie) I wouldn't have stopped watching those shows in the first place.

Grr.

OK so I suppose this entry is really for Jaxie and Stephers.

I was just commenting in Steph's lj and now I'm all pissed off at GH.

Would it have killed them to get Tamara to stay as Carly for ONE MORE WEEK. That's all. JUST ONE WEEK. But no. I had to get all emotionally involved in this Michael is dead no he's not! storyline that's been going on since like January. And what's the big payoff? When Michael is reunited with Carly (and Sonny). Well GH screw you that payoff SUCKED. The NuCarly wasn't even choked up/teary eyed. I didn't feel any connection or chemistry. I don't blame Michael from running away from the NuCarly. I would too. AJ looks like a better bet.

Billy is a much better actor. He really makes you feel for AJ, even if he has committed heinous acts.

KFB's GH performer of the week: Billy Warlock. This man takes a despicable character and makes me feel sorry for him. AJ's not all wrong, sure he's sorta twisted, but he's dead on about that Golden Boy shit.

And it's almost too bad that Alan kept him from smacking Emily one. She certainly has been whining enough.

Am I going to stop watching? Hell no. To quote this great GH Rap song I downloaded once:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY INGOJAX!! I LUVS YA!!!

and i'm still gutted about Tamara.

The character of Carly will be recast. Possibly with Sarah Brown (as she is soon to be ex-Julia on ATWT). I shall continue to be gutted for several years to come.

I'm gutted. GUTTED!! My new ipod came today and I'm too gutted to play with it..much. ;)

My soap opera digest came today and guess what's on the cover????!!!"GH's Carly out!"


NO!!!!!! Carly can not leave General Hospital!! She's my favorite character next to Alexis. I've even met both Tamara Braun (Carly) and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis). When I was living in LA during the fall of 2001, Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, Y&R) organized a fundraiser for the families of the victims of 9/11. It was mostly west coast soap stars, a lot of Days of our Lives people. I didn't care about them that much (well, hello? Saw them everyday at work...) but the cast of GH was going to be there as well!! GH!! I ended up walking behind Tamara and a friend from the parking garage, and later got her signature on a 9/11 tribute t-shirt. She had just started on the show and was very sweet. I was pretty nonchalant, told her she was doing a good job, etc... (I completely geeked out when I met Nancy Lee Grahn and even had a stranger (bless her!!) take a picture of the two of us together. Now I wish I had one of me and Tamara.)

Anyway!! Tamara is not the first actress to play Carly. Sarah Brown originated the role, and normally I am not one for recasts, but Tamara took over the role of Carly and really made it her own. So much so that I'd perfer her in the role over Sarah (sorry Sarah, but it's okay..you're on ATWT now anyways).

Ah well. Tamara is a terrific actress and I wish her the best. Good luck in your career Tamara, and thank you for the last four years.

*Any cracks about this just being a soap will result in unfriending* =P
